Frequently Asked Questions

Having worked in the treatment industry for nearly a decade we found that there is a lack of services for young men who are battling gaming, internet, pornography and other behavioral addictions, while most treatment services focus on substance use. We are passionate about this underserved population and are committed to navigating all addictive behaviors.

We are not a treatment center.

We offer direct and honest feedback to clients. We understand the severity of concerns facing men today and frankly don’t have interest in beating around any bushes. We are not afraid to provide the truth to our clients to best help them, even if it makes us unpopular.

We specialize in the treatment of substance use, pornography, gaming, internet and other compulsory behaviors.

Absolutely. Pornography effects many of the same areas of the brain as addictive drugs and alcohol do. Unlike alcohol and drugs, pornography is readily available in unlimited quantities. Some would argue that this makes porn more addictive than substances.

Yes. Our therapy, coaching, and group services are for men only. We specialize in treating teenage and young adult males.

We are able to complete substance use assessments, trainings, and educational services for males and females.

It depends. Through our experience, we have found that recovery from addiction is based on the honesty, willingness, and commitment of the client. Some clients respond to longer engagement with us, while others respond better to higher intensity but shorter duration. Call us to discuss options.

We are not currently taking insurance. Here’s why:

Insurance companies require mental health diagnosis for clients to be eligible for reimbursement. Diagnosis are then available to insurance companies. Some of our clients choose to pay privately to avoid insurance providers having access to their mental health records.

We are not able to bill insurance for pornography or sexual addiction services. These two diagnosis are not recognized in the DSM-V, therefore most insurance plans will not cover them.

We cannot bill insurance for coaching, groups, or intensive services at this time.

We can provide a detailed itemized statement (superbill) to you that you can submit for reimbursement to your carrier.  We suggest checking with your insurance to see if out-of-network services are covered. Many policies have out-of-network benefits.
